There are a couple of options for including music in your preschool graduation ceremony.
One choice is to have the children perform a few simple songs or fingerplays relating to growing up, graduating, or saying good-bye.
Another alternative is to play a slideshow during the ceremony that includes pictures of the children during the year, while some tear-jerking songs are playing in the background!
Of course, you could always do both – which would be sure to please the audience to no ends!

• Played during a slideshow
• Played while audience is being seated/dismissed
• Played while students are transitioning from one place to another
(like coming up on stage)
To find these songs, you may need to purchase a CD that
includes
the song or download it from your favorite mp3 music site, like iTunes.
1. Let Them Be Little – Lonestar
My absolute favorite for preschool graduation! So moving.
2. You’ve Got a Friend in Me – Randy Newman
From the Toy Story
soundtrack, children as well as parents will recognize this one! This
would be sweet to play with pictures of the kids with their friends.
3. I Hope You Dance – Leann Womack
A hopeful and motivating song when seen as being directed toward
children.
4. You Raise Me Up – Josh Groban
If you asked parents to send in pictures of themselves with their kids,
this would be a good song to play with those.
5. Because You Loved Me – Celine Dion
Also works for parent & child pictures, or pictures of the
teacher(s) with the kids.
6. Teach Your Children - Crosby, Stills,
Nash & Young
A good reminder to parents and children that the children really are
our future.
7. You’ll Be in My Heart – Phil Collins
From the Tarzan soundtrack, children will
recognize this and both parents and teachers will relate to it’s
message.
8. Somewhere Over the Rainbow – Israel
Kamakawiwo'ole
This one is sure to bring a smile to everyone’s faces! It’s a different
version than Judy Garland’s, so a nice change on an old favorite.
9. My Wish – Rascal Flatts
Puts into words what both teachers and parents feel for the children in
their care.
10. Forever Young- Rod Stewart
A classic growing up song that could be used during a slideshow.
Make sure you provide lots of tissues while playing these preschool graduation songs – you’ll need them!

Here are some adorable songs to sing at the graduation. Be sure to start learning these ahead of time so children have enough time to learn the lyrics.
You may want to include some motions as you sing these preschool graduation songs.
Fun In Preschool
Sung to: “I'll Be Working on the Railroad”
I've been having fun in
preschool,
Learning all year long..
I can tell you all about it,
Just listen to this song.
We've been learning shapes
and colors,
Letters and numbers too!
I've learned how to share
with others,
Now our year is through!
Graduation Song
Now I know my ABC's,
Colors, shapes, and days.
I sang some songs,
Learned some poems, rhymes, and fingerplays.
I played outside on sunny
days
And inside when it rained.
My little hands and little
feet
were busy every day.
My Teacher was (teacher's
name),
I kept her on her toes,
She tied my shoes, combed
my hair,
and even wiped my nose.
But now it's time to say "good-bye"
To all my preschool friends.
School is over, summer's
here,
But learning never ends!

Oh, we’re off to
Kindergarten, yes we are!
Oh, we’re off to Kindergarten, yes we are!
Oh, we’re off to Kindergarten,
We’re off to Kindergarten,
Oh, we’re off to Kindergarten, yes we are!
And we won’t be here in
Preschool anymore!
Oh we won’t be here in Preschool anymore!
Oh we won’t be here in Preschool,
We won’t be here in Preschool,
Oh we won’t be here in Preschool anymore!

We Go
by Christa Koch of Preschool Education .Com©
Sung to: "Mary Had a Little Lamb"
In Preschool we had lots of
fun,
Lot's of fun, lot's of fun.
In Preschool we had lot's of fun.
To Kindergarten we go.
We know our letter's and 123's
How to share and all about me.
In Pre-k we had lot's of fun.
To Kindergarten we go.
