Nothing will make Mom's day better than one of these homemade Mothers Day crafts. The cutest gifts are always the ones lovingly made by children.
These gifts would also be appropriate for Grandmas, Aunts, or other special ladies in your life. Just alter as needed.
As with all craft activities with young children, you may need to do some of the preparation ahead of time – cutting out shapes, assembling some pieces, etc., depending on the ability level of the students.
Also, for safety reasons, please make sure to supervise young children that are using scissors (even safety scissors can cut), glue, and small pieces.
Let’s get going on those Mothers Day crafts!

Mother's Day Corsage:
1. Decorate 5 round coffee filters in whatever pattern you'd like with markers.
2. Stack the filters on top of each other and pinch together the ends.
3. Fold a 5 inch piece of green pipe cleaner in half.
4. Put the pinched end of the filters between the open ends of the pipe cleaner and tape around to secure.
5. Fold out the filters to open the flower.
Wrist Corsage:
1. Cut 2 leaf shapes out of Fun Foam and glue together at the bottom.
2. Stack together 9 2-3 inch squares of colorful tissue paper and staple in the middle.
3. Cut the stack into a circle shape.
4. Staple the stack onto the foam leaves.
5. Starting in the middle, pinch together each layer of tissue paper to the center.
6. Tape a length of ribbon or yarn to the back of the leaves and your wrist corsage is ready to wear!

Flower Photo Holder:
1. Take the flowers off of artificial flower stems or use green pipe cleaners(as many as photo holders as you want - we did 2).
2. Tape a paper clip to the top of each stem.
3. Cut flower shapes out of construction paper or Fun Foam.
4. Glue picture onto the center of each flower.
5. Slip each flower into a paper clip on a stem.
6. Stick the stems into a mesh bag of craft stones or marbles so they stand upright.

Scrubbie Bouquet:
1. Take the flowers off of artificial flower stems or use green pipe cleaners.
2. Attach the stems by inserting them through the string that holds the shower scrubbies together.
3. Fill a large jar with colorful tissue paper.
4. Put the flowers in the jar.
5. Tie a ribbon around the top of the jar into a beautiful bow.
6. Mom can leave the flowers to display or take them off to use the scrubbies in the shower!
